To provide a gathering place with a calm and cozy atmosphere where customers can enjoy learning about, tasting, and purchasing rare wines and fine foods from knowledgeable staff.
Blair and Zhanna set out to open a gourmet food market in Boca that would be a meeting place for gourmetphiles in the community.
We officially opened Gourmetphile in the Royal Palm Place with a focus on imported luxury food products to include caviar, chocolates as well as expertly curated cheeses and charcuterie.
Lance joined the Gourmetphile team and brought his over 20 year experience in the wine and food industry allowing us to offer rare-hard to find wines along with intimate weekly wine tastings with gourmet food pairings.
We started the build out of our new location on East Palmetto Park Road in the Palmetto Promenade residential building. We aimed to create a more modern updated space while maintaining the Old World European charm.
We opened at the new location in Downtown Boca and continue with our mission to provide a gathering place with a calm and cozy atmosphere where customers can enjoy learning about, tasting, and purchasing rare wines and fine foods from knowledgeable staff.
Nicole, Lance’s wife joined the Gourmetphile team to allow Blair and Zhanna to retire and spend more time with their grandchildren and family. We continue to be family owned with a reputation for over-the-top service and knowledgeable staff. Come in and get to know us!

Meet Lance Goldberg, CSW
Director of Wine and Managing Partner | Gourmetphile: Rare Wines and Fine Food
Lance has over 30+ years in the food and wine industry with the last 20 in the Boca Raton retail wine business. Previous to working in the wine industry he was a chef at a select few local restaurants. Lance is a Certified Wine Professional and Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators. He has tasted great wines at vineyards around the world from Germany and Argentina to the United States. He has a passion for all things food and wine and it shows in his dedication to quality and excellence present in his weekly wine tastings where he pairs gourmet foods with each wine.
Lance lives in Coconut Creek, FL with his wife Nicole and border collie Cannoli. He and his wife Nicole run Gourmetphile Rare Wines and Fine Food in downtown Boca Raton.
