This Mirzam Date & Fennel bar is a flavoured dark chocolate which combines some of the finest flavours from ancient trading routes. Mirzam crafts all its chocolate bars in Dubai. The spice trade that once connected Europe to the flavours of Asia is the inspiration for Mirzam’s recipes.
This bar bring together local Middle Eastern ingredients. First are dates, which have been a delicacy and staple of local cuisines for centuries. The locally grown dates come from the Liwa Oasis in the UAE. Mirzam has then mixed the local fruit with fresh fennel which is native to the Mediterranean. The bar’s flavours are a representation of Dubai’s wealth of different cultural and culinary influences.
Tasting Notes
The sweet dates mixed with freshly ground fennel form a rich sweet paste. This is enclosed in the middle of Mirzam’s craft bar to a create a sweet, slightly sticky treat. The aromatic notes from the fresh fennel create the perfect contrast to the sugared dates.
The Mirzam Date & Fennel dark chocolate won Silver at the Academy of Chocolate Awards 2017. It also won a Silver at the International Chocolate Awards 2017 (regional competition).

Boca doesn't have enough fun activities or unique finds. It's amazing to encounter both in one hidden gem. Every wine there is top notch, available at every budget. Hidden Gem! This place is definitely worth the stop. The staff is great and very accommodating I purchased a few gift cards from this place.
